On the Historical Town Tour you will hear about Captain Cook and how he and his crew spent seven weeks here in
1770 after the Endeavour was damaged on the reef.
You will come to realise that this small town was once the second largest port in Queensland and you will hear about the wild times during the gold rush. You will hear the real history while experiencing remote Cooktown with all the breath taking views of the surrounding area and the Great Barrier Reef.
